Colossians 1 12-14

12Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
13Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
14In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
I think this is a great passage of scripture. It not only tells us that god has made us heirs of His kingdom but that he has redeemed us and no matter what we do how bad we mess up that we can have forgiveness. Its is like he said let me throw in forgiveness of sins with redemption just to make it even easier for them. The thing is its totally and completely free. We don't have to pay a thing for it. Yet so many of us spend time thinking that we're not good enough. That we keep falling in the same thing all the time. The thing is all we need to do is be like the publican and say " God be merciful to me a sinner". I don't think i'll ever be able to fathom the depths of God's love for me or how far away he is able to remove my sin from me or how simple it is for him to take away the blackness of my with just a drop of his blood. I only hope that I have the faith to accept it.
You said you hope you have the faith to accept what God has freely given, but faith too is a gift from God. What we have to do is ask God to give us a greater faith.
All we need to do is ask God for forgive and it is given. Then we need to let Christ come into your hearts and transformation the old man into a new man who will perfect to be let in the Kingdom of Heaven.
We are all Joint-Heirs with Christ
