Trusting in Him

Sometimes it seems no matter what I do to help some people it does not work. Why do people who are in trouble make Christ the last person they call (if they ever call him). God will help you with everything, that is what a father is for.
We say we believe in God but do we really? Is God real to us? I think that's why people go to God last for help. We really don't believe that God is real and can do exceedingly more than what we can ask or think. Not to mention that sometimes we want a certain answer and God may not want a particular path so we don't even bother to ask cause we know what the answer will be. God can much more than us but we try to be so self-sufficient that we only go to him when we realise that all the things we try fail and it shouldn't be like that when you can get help from the start instead of going through alot of the drama that our lives consist of.
