12Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
13Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
Two out of three of my favorite miracles aren't even in the New Testament. The first one is when the sun stood still for 24hrs. Found in Joshua 10:1-14, We see the Israelites fighting against the Canaanites and God wins it for them when by discomfiting their enemies, and if that was not enough Joshua, never leaving a job unfinished exercises a faith that is truly to be admired by commanding the sun to stand still in Gibeon and the moon in the valley of Ajalon. Can you imagine so much faith that you don't even ask God you just say what you want done and it is so. Such Faith!
After reading Acts 15 and seeing the disagreement with Paul and Barnabus. even though they had a disagreement at the end they both partied and carried on the work for God. No Fight, No Volience.
In today's world, why cant we live like this. Of course we will have disagreements but there should end peacefully and we should always respect thy neighbours.
As I was reading Acts 13 for my night bible study, I really begin to understand the power of the Holy Spirit. We see small miracles these days and we are programmed to think that they are random occurences. However, when people really have faith in Jesus Christ any thing is possible. In this chapter Paul was being challenges by a sorcerer and we was able to show the power of God to unbelievers. He trusted that everything he was doing was right and God would provide a way to show his glory.
Sometimes it seems no matter what I do to help some people it does not work. Why do people who are in trouble make Christ the last person they call (if they ever call him). God will help you with everything, that is what a father is for.
The Christian's life is really a School of Hard KNocks and cannot be compared with the World's school of hard knocks. If you are a Christian never expect things always to go the way you planned. The Christian life is one of continual hardship, conflict and toil but I love the way Paul puts it in Philippians 1:21: For to me to live is Christ and to die is gain.
Today was a really hard day at work, with a huge deadline that needed to met to ensure that deliverables would be successful. The only thing that got me through the day was the fact that I knew that God will be right there by myself.
