The character of God illustrates who God really is at heart and the bible speaks of the expression of this character in James 1:17 where it states that all good things come from God and that God does not change.

miracles in the bible

The following are a few examples of the miracles in the bible I admire the most. The first is when God parted the Red Sea so the children of Israel could escape the oncoming Egyptian army this is seen in Ex 14:13-31.
The second miracle I would like to highlight is when Joshua told the Sun to stand still upon Gibeon and the Moon to remain in the valley of Ajalon. I would have liked to be there to see how long the sun actually shone for. This miracle is seen in Jos 10:12-14.

Two out of three of my favorite miracles aren't even in the New Testament. The first one is when the sun stood still for 24hrs. Found in Joshua 10:1-14, We see the Israelites fighting against the Canaanites and God wins it for them when by discomfiting their enemies, and if that was not enough Joshua, never leaving a job unfinished exercises a faith that is truly to be admired by commanding the sun to stand still in Gibeon and the moon in the valley of Ajalon. Can you imagine so much faith that you don't even ask God you just say what you want done and it is so. Such Faith!

Samsons Defeats Thousands (Judges 15: 15-16)
One of the most impressive miracles to me is one that involved Samson. However, this is not the traditional one when he destroy the city. To believe that he was given the ability defeat 1000 men with a mere bone is almost unbelievable. To stand infront of 1000 men with the confidence that God will allow you defeat your enemies shows faith and understanding.  In addition, earlier in the chapter Samson also caught 300 foxes. (Can you imagine just catching 1?)
